I haven't written very specifically about my plans for my future. Some of you know that I have spent this year taking undergraduate courses in speech-language pathology. When it came time in the fall to apply to online Master's programs, I discovered that there was only one program in the United States that would even consider accepting me while I lived overseas. I applied to that one program and proceeded to become increasingly nervous as each day passed.
This morning, I had an e-mail from someone in that program.
I have been accepted! If things go according to plan, I will begin my Master's coursework in the fall.
I don't think I've been this excited and nervous about anything in a while...probably not since making the decision to move to Africa. :-)
WWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful news!! You ARE brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI have a friend that is wanting so start her masters in the fall of 2012. Which school did you end up with? Were there any that stood out if you were still living in the states?
ReplyDeleteWhew! I was filled with nerves while I clicked on the link to "read more"!
ReplyDeleteCongrats. You'll be awesome. I can't wait to read your testing reports for kids applying for disability some day.
Citrine and Lynn: Thank you!
ReplyDeleteJessica: Ha! Thanks.
Erin: The best bet is for your friend to search for programs on www.asha.org. I don't know where she wants to go, but I remember that UNL (University of Nebraska Lincoln) has a really good program.
